Today we celebrated the upcoming birthday with Cate's class.
The celebration began by the teacher laying out all the months and seasons around a circle and candle. Cate then held the globe and made three circles. We all followed with a birthday song and Cate blowing out the candle.
Cate also brought a couple of pictures from her early years that she walked around the circle and shared with the other kids. It was funny to watch how interested they were in the "baby pictures," trying to grasp how they grow up. Of course, half the time, the picture was facing Cate instead of the other kid.
The party ended with cupcakes. Cate was on cloud nine with the chance to pass out cupcakes to her pals, with a little aid from her favorite teacher.
